Smart Went Crazy

So yeah, my day started unnecessarily early. Woke up like 5-ish then picked up Ben and Jesus to go to Qualcomm for volunteer work to fundraise for the wrestling team. No breakfast and it was too cold and early for any BS.

And then the work began around 8. I was in charge of directing traffic, which was just about the most fucking boring thing ever. And I had to deal with some assholes and idiots. But it wasn’t all that bad. The tailgaters next to where I was posted were hella chill though. I watched as they played a bunch of drinking games. They even had a beer bong with a dick at the end of it ahahaha. One of the guys there filled it up and just poured it on his friend. Pretty fucked up, but damn I needed some form of entertainment to keep me sane. Anywayssss, after about 4 hours, I ate my share of free tacos from the Shore Club.  Hella gave me cotton mouth though. Basically had nothing to drink for like the whole day -_- I kinda half-assed the last hour and a half or so, but later found out that my section was already done haha. Long day, but worth it. If my math is correct we made around $720 altogether.

Afterwards, the day just seemed to unwind and chill. Jesus, Ben, JP (Ong-Bak), and I decided to go downtown to reward ourselves with some sushi. After many failed attempts of find the place and parking, we found both! So we walk up to the door of the sushi place only to find that it was closed. FUUUUUU. We were just like fuck it. So we decided to the 7-Eleven across to get some free slurpees thanks to the coupons that some cop gave us at the game. Keep in mind that all of us were still matching in our “work clothes” which was a white tee, black pants, and black shoes. We even had matching beads that we got from the game. As we were crossing the street, some guy crept by in his car and blatantly yelled out and called us queers LMFAO. This kinda pissed us off for some reason even though I’m straight haha, but then we realized how funny and random it was. So yeah, we walk out now matching w/ our slurpees. Ben plugs his iPod into my car and the first song that plays was “You Belong With Me” by Taylor Swift. Wooooooow, no wonder why that guy called us queers xD. jkjk. But yeah long story short, we have a bunch of inside jokes. “We are not afraid!” hahaha. Ended up going to Jack In the Box and ate like a fatass. Oh and no homo for all of that.

Dropped everyone off, went home, Chargers won yeeeeeebuddy.

It still hasn’t hit me that it’s winter break. Or even that Christmas is just in a couple of days. 3 more days of practice this week, then the ECI tournament on Sunday! Hopefully things will not be as hard as I’m making them out to be. I really need to take some time and just… breathe, relax, think, etc.

Damn. Didn’t do that great… at all. Had to wrestle 171’s at 159 -_- but I have no excuse for my loss. I know what I need improvement on and I will fix these mistakes.

It wasn’t all so bad though. Got to see some old middle school friends that I haven’t seen in 3~4 years. Saw my fellow “circle” member Vanessa too. Man it feels great to be back on the mat! especially without all the nervousness which burdened me throughout all of last season. I may have lost, but I found that confidence. All fired up now!

And to Cody: get well soon. I know I don’t know you that well, but you’re a friend before a teammate. It hurt me just to hear all of that. I don’t know what kind of pain you’re going through, but you’re a beast; hang in there!

I just gotta keep my head up, hit practice hard, and get ready for Valhalla next week.
